I have been thinking about a Les Paul for a while and eventually got Doug to make me one.

Originally I was dead set on specing the guitar exactly like the 50th anniversary black custom Gibson, but after some thinking I decided to add some custom features based on the new Les Paul Axxis.

The custom additions are a cut away on the back of the guitar where the neck joins the body enabling easier access higher up.

There is a gut cut for obvious reasons.

Also, I may well be adding a Les Paul Schaller wammy bar. Originally I didn't want one, but I always use the wammy on the odd chord to give it a bit of a shimmer...

The guitar has w/b/w/b/w/b/w edging on the body and the neck is also edged. The fingerboard is ebony and features Abalone dot inlays.

The headstock also has a veneer of which I can't remember what the wood is.

Pick ups will be Bare Knuckle pickups and probably be the Emerald Pre aged Humbucker at the bridge and neck.

Guitar will be solid black in colour.
